Lawrence, MA — Catherine P. “Kitty” Arsenault, 88, of Lawrence, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2013, at the Lawrence General Hospital, after a brief illness. She was born in Lawrence on January 12th, 1925, and was the daughter of John and Mary Gregory. Kitty attended Lawrence schools. On December 8, 1945, she married Alfred “Freddie” Arsenault. They were married for 67 years. Fred passed away on March 26th of this year.
Kitty worked at Raytheon for 29 years as an inspector, retiring in 1987. She enjoyed playing 45's, camping, “dressing up” for special events, and, above all, spending time with her family. Kitty was full of personality, always ready with a joke and a smile, and was someone people loved being around. She leaves a void in the hearts of her family and friends and will be dearly missed.
Kitty is survived by her daughter, Nancy McNally of Lawrence; her son, Wayne Arsenault and his wife, Kathy, of Rome, N.Y.; her granddaughter, Pamela Ahearn of North Andover; grandsons, Andrew Arsenault of Philadelphia, Pa., and Sean Arsenault and his wife, Erica, of Philadelphia; and great grandson, Douglas Jordan “DJ” Banks. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews; as well as her sister-in-law and good friend, Mary Arsenault of Methuen. Kitty was predeceased by her sister, Mae Cahill (Frank); and brothers, Jackie and Walter Gregory.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Robin and Linda Arsenault and Barbara Lumb for the compassion they’ve shown and the help they’ve given to Kitty during her illness.
