Bradford — Debra L. Hughes, 52, of Bradford, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2013. Loving daughter of David L. and Ida M. Hughes of Bradford, Debra was born on May 30, 1961, in Salisbury, Maryland. She moved to Bradford at the age of three and was educated in the Haverhill school system. She graduated from Haverhill High School, Class of 1979. She continued her studies at Salem State College in Nursing.
Family was the center of her life. Debbie was always positive, adventurous, and full of life. She lived every day to the fullest and with the greatest sense of humor. She loved all her family and friends deeply, and always sought to find new ways to show them how much. Debbie had a true appreciation of the simple things in life. She loved going to the theater, amusement parks, watching fireworks, playing games, and spending time with family. She had a strong faith in God and touched many lives. She was everyone’s “Auntie Debbie” and will continue to be an inspiration to all.
Her family members include her adoring parents, David L. and Ida M. Hughes of Bradford; sister, Arleen Dickinson; sister, Paula Lawton and her husband, Brian; sister, Pamela Hughes and Dustin Mendelsohn, all of Bradford; niece, Shawna Marion and husband, Steven; niece, Kimberly Dempsy and husband, Joshua; and niece Amy Dickinson; nephews, Brian Lawton, and Jeffrey and Scott Dickinson; great-nieces, Emma, Eve, and Ava Marion, and Ari Michelle Dempsey; great-nephews, David Marion and Chase Dempsey; several aunts, uncles, many caring friends, her best friend, Ellen, and her beloved dog, Kiara Lyn.
