Haverhill, MA — Nancy Ann (Champey) Hill, age 77, of Haverhill, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Brighton surrounded by family and friends. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert G. Hill.
Born in Lawrence, October 29, 1935, daughter of the late Joseph and Lillian (Lefebvre) Champey, she was a graduate of Lawrence High School.
Nancy was devoted to her family, from her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to her brothers, sister, nieces and nephews, she loved them all and cherished time spent with them. She was very kind and generous, always ready to help with anything that was needed.
She leaves behind her two sons, Robert G. Hill, Jr. and companion, Shelley Dame Smith, of Haverhill and Randel G. Hill and wife, Jean, of Haverhill; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, James Champey; one sister, Virginia Champey; along with several generations of nieces, nephews and many dear friends. She was predeceased by her daughter, Nadine A. Hill of Florida, and her brother, Joseph Champey of Lawrence.
ARRANGEMENTS: A period of visitation will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2013, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Highland Street Chapel of the Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Ave., Amesbury, immediately followed by services at the funeral home at 7 p.m. Interment will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Resident Fund at Penacook Place Nursing Home, 150 Water St., Haverhill, MA 01830.
