Lawrence — Ida G. (Bedard) Harvey, 83, a longtime resident of Lawrence, Mass., died on July 7, 2013, at the Mary Immaculate Nursing Home in Lawrence.
She was born on August 15 1929, in Methuen, Mass., to John and Irene (Bergeron) Bedard. Educated in Methuen schools, she worked for many years as a wool spinner at Malden Mills in Methuen. She was a parishioner of St Mary's Church in Lawrence.
She is the wife of the late James J. Harvey, she leaves her six children, Charles J. and his wife. Shirley Harvey of Land O Lakes, Fla., daughter, Claire and her husband, Jerry Duncan of Drasco, Ark., son, John and his wife, Marissa, of Las Vegas, Nev., James J. Jr Harvey of Providence, R.I., Michael Harvey of Epping, N.H., and David Harvey of Tennessee. She also leaves her granddaughter Tracey Labbe and husband, Steven, of Dunbarton, N.H.; four sisters and two brothers, Lillian Croteau of Salem, N.H., Cecile Checovich, Teresa Parent, Mary Jane Peppin, and Lionel Bedard, all of Methuen, and Robert Bedard of Florida;12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by Gerard Bedard of Methuen, and Frederick Bedard of Lawrence.
ARRANGEMENTS: A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 12, at 10 a.m., at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Lawrence. A burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
