North Andover — It is with deep sorrow that the Scalise family announces the passing of Domenic J. Scalise, 69, of North Andover, Mass., who died peacefully on July 10, 2013, at Seabrook Beach, N.H. He was born in Lawrence, Mass. He was the son of the late Joseph and Salvatrice (Giuffrida) Scalise and the brother of Frank Scalise of Denver, Colo.
Domenic was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute in Buffalo, N.Y., in 1962. He completed his undergraduate degree at Merrimack College and earned a Juris Doctorate from Suffolk Law School, and had practiced law in the Merrimack Valley area for 43 years. He was a member of the Lawrence Bar Association Executive Committee and Massachusetts Bar Association. He served as Town Council for North Andover, Mass., and was a member of the Board of the North Andover Historical Society as well as the North Andover School Building Committee. He was an originator and Director of Northmark Bank, North Andover, Mass. He served as a Director for the Academy of Notre Dame in Tyngsboro, Mass. Domenic was an avid hockey player and sports enthusiast. He enjoyed his time at the beach and driving his 1941 Packard.
Attorney Scalise is survived by Kathleen (Heslin) Scalise, his loving wife of 36 years; and his adoring daughters, Kathryn of Boston, Mass., Bethany of North Andover, Mass.; and his beloved son, David of San Francisco, Calif. He leaves behind his brother, Frank; his sister-in-law, Susan; niece, Emily and nephew, Joseph, all of Denver, Colo. He also leaves behind his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Francis and Terese Heslin of Westford, Mass. He leaves behind his brother-in-law, Edward Bolan of Lowell, Mass.; as well as nieces and nephews, Kaitlyn Bolan, F. Daniel Heslin, Margaret Williams and Thomas Heslin.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, July 14, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen, MA. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 15, 2013, at St. Michael’s Church, 96 Main St., North Andover, MA. Burial will be private.
