Roland C. D'Entremont, 73


Lawrence, MA: — Roland C. D’Entremont, 73, a resident of Lawrence for the past ten years, died on Monday, January 14, 2013, at Lahey Clinic, Burlington, MA.

Born, raised, and educated in Haverhill, the son of the late Sifroid and Cora (LaFleche) D’Entremont, he attended St. Joseph’s School and graduated from Haverhill High School with the Class of 1957. A member of the high school track team, he was also a three year member of the varsity football team and starting offensive and defensive lineman for the 1955 State Championship Football Team. He attended Ventura College, Ventura, CA where he received his associate’s degree and later earned his bachelor’s degree in 1964 from Chico State College, Chico, CA and graduated in 1983 with his master’s degree from Anna Maria College, Paxton, MA.

Employed for many years as a social worker at Bon Secours Hospital, and later Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, he was most recently employed by Vinfen as a house manager for developmentally challenged adults.

He enjoyed coaching the girls’ softball team, sponsored by Holy Family Hospital and was an avid sports fan. He also enjoyed reading the daily newspapers and playing 45’s with his friends.

Mr. D’Entremont is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, David C. and Kim D’Entremont of Raymond, NH; a brother, Albert D’Entremont of Florida; two granddaughters, Kailey S. D’Entremont and Chloe M. D’Entremont; a grandson, Andrew Denis D’Entremont; his former wife, Doris (Bastian) (D’Entremont) Green of Salem, NH and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Denis D’Entremont in 1989.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, January 17, 2013, from 4 to 8 PM at BERUBE-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA. A Celebration of Life service will begin on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 11:30 AM at the funeral home.
