Haverhill — Bernice M. (Francescone) LaValley Esposito, 95, of the Riverside section of Haverhill, died Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the Baker Katz Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center after a period of declining health.
Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Marianna (Migliori) Francescone. She attended Haverhill public Schools.
Mrs. Esposito was employed in the local shoe manufacturing industry for over twenty years, later in her career she was employed by the City of Haverhill as a lunch monitor at the Crowell School.
The widow of Homer C. LaValley who passed away in 1968, she then married Carmen J. Esposito in 1971 and shared eighteen wonderful years with him until his passing in 1989. Though she did work for many years, she was a true homebody and homemaker. She loved entertaining in her home. She was a traditional Italian cook and loved to share her joy of cooking with friends and family and anyone with an appetite.
She leaves her son, Eugene LaValley, of Haverhill, stepchildren; Richard P. Esposito and his wife, Margaret, Seabrook Beach, NH, Robert Esposito and his wife, Antoinette, of Mineral, VA, Anthony “Sonny” Esposito and his wife, Norma, of Lowell, AK, Francis Esposito, of Haverhill, and Rita Aeed, of Amesbury, eighteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one great great grandson, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter in law, Denise LaValley, and siblings, Ralph, Julio, and Henry Francescone.
ARRANGEMENTS: Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Thursday, January 17, from 4 until 7 PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill. Funeral services will be held on Friday beginning at 9:00 AM from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM in St. John the Baptist Church, Lincoln Ave. Haverhill. Burial will follow in St. Patricks Cemetery, North Broadway, Haverhill.
