Lowell — Marie (Brennan) Stemporzewski, 74, died Tuesday, January 22, at Lowell General Hospital after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Joseph S. Stemporzewski who died on the 4th of January this year.
Born in Fairhaven, on November 10, 1938, Marie was the daughter of James and Alice (Roberts) Brennan. She was educated in Fairhaven and a graduate of Fairhaven High School.For 20 years, Marie worked for the I.R.S. as a tax examiner until her retirement.
Marie enjoyed taking trips to Las Vegas with her husband, gardening and spending time at the beach. Her biggest joy, however, came from her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother and her family meant the world to her. She has left an imprint on their hearts forever and will be greatly missed.
Marie is survived by her four children, Linda Hogan and her partner, Ronald Couillard of Dracut, Joseph Stemporzewski Jr. and his partner, Brenda Allison of Lowell, Karen Mann and her husband, Shawn of Pelham, N.H., and Stephanie Halko and her husband, Jeffrey of Londonderry, N.H.; six grandchildren, Cara Cronier, Michelle Brown, Alicia and Benjamin Mann and Nicholas and Nathan Halko, and two cherished great-grandchildren, Chloe Caron and Kaylee Poole. She is also survived by her sister, Annebelle Mello; brother in-law, Roger Lecuyer; and her sister-in-law, Rita Stemporzewski, as well as several nieces and nephews and her dear friend, Sheila Francouer.
ARRANGEMENTS: At the families request calling hours are private. Relatives and friends are invited to meet directly at St. John the Evangelist Church in Chelmsford at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 26 for her funeral Mass. Burial will then take place at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Lowell.
