North Andover — Michael Richard Kellan died Sunday from a sudden illness. He was 68 years old.
He was born to the late Sally Kellan and Fred Kellan February 11, 1944 and graduated from North Andover High School. He attended college and earned degrees from Salem State, Northeastern University and Boston College.
Michael was a teacher for most of his professional life and was happiest when making a difference in the lives of his students. His generosity was unmatched and his many friends are a testimony to his selflessness and kindness.
Michael was an active member of the Knight of Columbus in North Andover. He loved to travel, cook and entertain.
He is survived by his brother Robert, his sons Jonathan and Peter, and his grandchildren Jackson, Lyla, and Maxwell.
