Francis X. O'Leary, 81

Davenport, FLA. — Francis X. O'Leary, 81, of Davenport, Fla. passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 3, 201,3 at Good Shepard Hospice in Auburndale, Fla. Born September 5, 1931 in Dorchester, he was the son of the late, Francis A. O'Leary and the late Rose (Cabery) O'Leary.

Raised in Milton, he graduated from both Boston College High School in 1948 and Boston College in 1952 which made him a proud "Double Eagle." He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict and retired as a Lt. Colonel. He worked as a Systems Analyst for All America Financial in Worcester before his retirement in 1996. He spent his retirement years, playing golf, traveling and working part time at Disney's Wide World of Sports. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed many baseball games at Fenway Park with his family. His favorite sport even at a young age was hockey, which he played with his brothers and neighborhood friends on the ponds in Milton. He was a mentor and sponsor to friends of Bill W. for 33 years.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Shea) O'Leary of Davenport, Fla. Father of six children, Brian O'Leary and Elizabeth McCarthy of South Orange, N.J., Kevin and Dianne O'Leary of Atkinson, N.H., Maureen (O'Leary) McQuarrie and Scott Weber of Orting, Wash., Michael and Michele O'Leary of Pitsford, N.Y., Colleen (O'Leary) Muller and Scott Muller of Methuen, Scott O'Leary and Elizabeth Maynard of Lawrence; two brothers, Paul O'Leary and Kathy of Franklin, Robert and Gail O'Leary of Atlanta, Ga. Also survived by fifteen grandchildren, Jason, Chad, Frank, Caitlin, Anne, Taylor, Charles, Julie, Marissa, Zachary, Spencer, Logan, Evan, Liam, and Maya; three great-grandchilden, Conner, Caleb, and Collin, and many neices and nephews.
