Methuen, MA — William J. Lasonde, age 62, of Methuen, MA died unexpectedly February 16, 2013.He was the husband of Diane (Girgenti) Lasonde.
He graduated from Lawrence High School and later from the University of Lowell in 1979. Mr. Lasonde served his country during the Vietnam War with the U.S. Navy. Bill was employed with the city of Methuen for the past seventeen years as a network administrator.
Bill was an avid golfer, enjoyed the beach, traveling and spending time with family. His true passion was baseball and umpiring. He was a member of the Eastern Mass Baseball Umpires Association and he officiated mostly Babe Ruth and high school games. He will be missed by many. If you didn’t know him, you knew someone that did.
Besides his wife Diane of forty years, Mr. Lasonde leaves his three loving children, Timothy J. Lasonde and his wife Kelley of Methuen, Bethany A. Lasonde and her husband Jarret Stricker of CA, and Michael D. Lasonde and his wife Crystal of NC. Also leaving his loving grandchildren, Rheya, Morgan and Connor. And his loving dog Kansas. He was the brother of Robert and his wife Diane of NH, Peter Lasonde of NH and Maureen Noone of NH. He was the son of the late Channel and Rosemary Lasonde.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are kindly invited to visitation on Wednesday in the Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen, MA from 4pm -7pm. A service will be held after visitation at 7pm. Burial will be private.
