Andover — Mrs. Eileen J. (Keenan) Alsup of Andover, 91, died at the Academy Manor Nursing Center on Monday, July 29, 2013. She was the wife of the late Floyd T. Alsup.
Born in Lawrence on February 13, 1922, she was the beloved daughter of the late Charles F. and Julia (Qualter) Keenan. Mrs. Alsup was a proud WWII Navy veteran.
She was a longtime communicant and eucharistic minister at St. Augustine Church in Andover, and also volunteered at many senior groups in Andover. She was a member of the American Legion, Post 417, and formerly resided at Andover Commons.
She was the loving mother of Glen J. and his wife, Margaret Alsup of Newton, N.H., Kevin Alsup of Andover, Butch and his wife, Michelle Alsup of Salem, N.H., Paul Alsup of Delray Beach, Fla., and Julie M. and her husband, Kevin P. Willett of Haverhill. She leaves a brother, Charles Keenan and his wife, Mary, of Lawrence; her sister, Kathleen Brennan of Methuen; and nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother-in-law, John C. Brennan.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover, on Friday, August 2, at 10:30 a.m. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 1, in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, from 5 to 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are most welcomed to attend. Interment will be held in the St. Mary Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
