Francis A. Fitzgerald, 83

Merrimack, NH — Francis A. Fitzgerald, 83, of Hudson, N.H., formerly of Pelham, N.H., died Wednesday, July 31, at the Community Hospice in Merrimack, N.H. He was the beloved husband of 40 years to Teresa C. (McCallion) (Roger) Fitzgerald who survives him.

Born in Arlington, Mass., August 20, 1929, the son of the late Thomas A. and the late Elizabeth J. (Crowley) Fitzgerald, he attended Arlington schools and was a graduate of Arlington High School in the Class of 1946.

Before retiring, Francis was employed as the Director of Production with the Forecaster of Boston, an outerwear clothing company for over 29 years. Most recently, he worked part-time at the New Hampshire Liquor & Wine Outlet in Hudson, N.H.

Among his many activities, Francis was a member of the Pelham Senior Citizens and a former member of the Knights of Columbus in Woburn, Mass. But most of all, he loved spending quality time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed his many trips to Kennebunkport, Maine with his wife, Teresa, where the Franciscan Monastery held a special place in their hearts.

In addition to his wife, Teresa, Francis is survived by a daughter, Jennifer M. Jackson and her husband, Traver, of Durham, N.C.; two sons, Gary Fitzgerald of Derry, N.H., and Glenn A. Fitzgerald of Pelham, N.H.; two stepsons, William J. Roger and his wife, Patricia, of Fremont, N.H., and James A. Roger and his wife, Maria, of Londonderry, N.H.; six grandchildren, Elizabeth, Emily, Maggie, Graham, Daniel and Marissa; a sister, Patricia Stevens of Arlington, Mass.; a brother, John Fitzgerald of Arlington, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Elizabeth Linehan and the late Rita Olson.

ARRANGEMENTS: Friends may call at the Pelham Funeral Home, 11 Nashua Road in Pelham from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday. His funeral will take place from the funeral home Monday morning at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at St. Patrick Church in Pelham at 10 a.m. Burial in the Gibson Cemetery.
