Newburyport — Lillian M. (Columbare) Puleo, 81, of Newburyport, formerly of Malden, North Reading and Lakeland, Fla., died on Thursday, February 13, at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was the beloved wife of the late Rosario E. “Sie” Puleo.
Born in Malden, Mass., on June 24, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Libra (Candelora) Columbare. She was raised and attended public school in Malden.
Lillian, with her late husband, Sie, were owners of Sie’s Texaco in Andover for many years. She was also a homemaker and was a loving mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was known for her laughter and giving of herself, never asking for anything in return. She had a simple lifestyle and she never put anyone down. She was always a great listener, she loved old movies and going out with her family.
Family members include her loving daughter, Deborah M. Marcionek and her husband, David, of Newburyport; brothers, John and Denis Columbare; and sister, Eleanor Cardello. She was the sister of the late Fred and Henry Columbare; loving grandsons, Adam D. Marcionek and his wife, Cara, of Portsmouth, N.H., Benjamin E. Marcionek and his partner, Katie Sullivan of East Boston, and Samuel Marcionek of Newburyport. She is also survived by many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held at the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow Street, North Reading, on Thursday, February 20, at 10:30 a.m. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, from 3 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in North Reading.
