Phyllis Silverman-Winn, 75


Mashpee & Lawrence, MA — Silverman-Winn, Phyllis (Caras), of Mashpee, Mass., born January 27, 1938, died on January 20, 2014. She was the beloved wife of Irving Winn.

She was predeceased by her former husband, Robert Silverman. She was the daughter of the late George and Beatrice Caras of Swampscott; mother of Lauri Silverman of Andover, Janet Silverman Gadol of Dallas, Texas, and Charlotte Silverman of Falmouth; beloved grandmother of seven; and sister of Roberta Fishman of Weston, and Arthur Caras of Derry, N.H. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was past president and lifetime member of Andover Hadassah. She was an avid gardener, she loved to travel, but most of all, she loved her family.

ARRANGEMENTS: Services at Brezniak-Rodman Chapel, 1251 Washington St., Newton, Mass., will be on Wednesday, January, 22, at 1 p.m. Following interment at Tifereth Anshi S’Fard Cemetery, Lawrence, memorial observance will be at the home of Roberta and Bob Fishman, until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
