Frank A. Marino, 82

Methuen and St. Petersburg, FL. — Frank A. Marino, 82, of Methuen and St. Petersburg, Fla., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 18, 2013, at Tufts Medical Center, Boston. Born in Lawrence, he was the son of Antonio and Antonina (Stallone) Marino. His brother, Vincent D. Marino predeceased him.

Mr. Marino graduated from Lawrence High School in 1948, Wentworth Institute of Technology and Northeastern University with degrees in architecture, civil engineering and business management. He began his professional career at Boston University as resident engineer and assistant manager of buildings and grounds. In 1963, he became the assistant treasurer and business manager of Brooks School, North Andover, and was devoted to Brooks for 32 years. The expertise he developed at Brooks led to his leadership positions in the Association of Business Officers of Preparatory Schools.

Frank proudly served his country as a Seabee in the U.S. Navy Construction Battalion. His dedication to public service extended to his involvement in the Methuen Lions Club and Holy Family Hospital Guild. Mr. Marino’s passions for engineering and business were demonstrated through his membership in the Boston Society of Civil Engineers, National Association of Energy Engineers and National Association of Purchasing Managers. His bright mind, diligent work ethic and honest values were the foundation to all that he created and all those whom he inspired.

Mr. Marino is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Eva (DeAngelo) Marino, and three children, Dr. Anthony F. Marino and his wife, Laurie, Arlene F. Andeweg, wife of Dr. Steven Andeweg, and Roseanne M. Gale, wife of Christopher Gale. He was the proud grandfather of four grandchildren, Dr. Katherine R. Marino, Dr. Evan F. Marino, Capt. Derek S. Andeweg, USAF, and Erica F. Andeweg. Mr. Marino is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Husband, father, “Nanno,” friend, and colleague, Frank A. Marino will be forever cherished.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, July 22, from 3 to 8 p.m., at the Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, July 23, at Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 35 Essex St., Lawrence.
