Sandown, NH — Norton Frederick Beecroft, 80, a longtime resident of Sandown, N.H., died peacefully at his home early Friday morning, surrounded by the family he loved so dearly.
He was born in Columbus, Neb., January 3, 1933, and was the son of the late William H. and Emma (Kipp) Beecroft.
After graduating from high school, Mr. Beecroft joined the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War and retiring from the Army after 20 years of dedicated service.
Following his military service, he became a transcriptionist for court reporting, working for the Apex Companies, out of Boston.
In addition to his beloved wife, Jo Anna (Josephson) Beecroft of Sandown, he leaves behind his son, Christian Beecroft and wife, Therese, of Fremont, N.H.; his daughter, Jeanie McDowelland her husband, Richard, of Plaistow, N.H.; two grandsons, Joseph and Kyle; two great-grandchildren, Skyler and Jaxson; his sister, Dolores of Bellwood, Neb.; his brother, Robert Beecroft of Foley, Ala.; and several nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
He will be remembered as a kindhearted, good soul, a dedicated family man who was especially proud of his two grandsons, and an avid gardener who gladly shared the bounty of his garden.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services and interment will be private for the family and there will be no visiting hours. Arrangements are by Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury.
