Methuen — Philip E. McAdam, 84, of Methuen, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Monday, July 7, 2014, at Lawrence Hospital. He was the son of the late Thomas J. McAdam and Beatrice M. (Hanna) McAdam.
Phil was born in Dover, N.H., on May 5, 1930, and moved in 1960 to Lawrence, then settling in Methuen. He was a sports enthusiast and an avid, diehard Boston sports fan. He enjoyed dancing and spending time with his family. He served during the Korean War with the U.S. Army.
Phil was the husband of the late Jeannine A. (Guilmette); and devoted father of Kim DiMauro and her husband, Butch, Karen Santitto and her husband, Sam, Kathy Cyr and her husband, Bob, Philip B. McAdam and his wife, Terri, Scott McAdam and his wife, Paula, Chris, Kevin, Dana, and Eric McAdam; dear brother of Larry McAdam and his wife, Carole, Paul McAdam and the late Tom, Bob and Barbara McAdam, and Carolyn Davis; cherished, long-time companion of Marge Groleau; grandfather of 14; and great-grandfather of seven. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours on Thursday, July 10, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. A service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, July 11, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
