Saco, Maine — Edna (Grenier) Carr, 96, formerly of Lawrence, died on Monday, November 26, 2012 at Seal Rock Healthcare in Saco Maine.
She was born in Biddeford, Maine on August 12, 1916, the youngest of 15 children, and lived in the Biddeford-Saco area until moving to Lawrence in 1959. She worked for 25 years at the Pepperell Mills in Biddeford, Maine, and retired in 1980 after 20 years at Western Electric in North Andover. She was an avid and active golfer through age 78, and was a former member of St Patrick’s Church in Lawrence.
She was the widow of Robert F Carr, whom she married October 3, 1946, and is survived by one son, John F Carr of Epping N.H.; two grandchildren, Eban M Carr of Kittery Maine and Morgan Carr of Williamsburg Va.; and two great-granddaughters, Aubrey Caprice Leverett and Myrah Mathis Carr; as well as many nieces and nephews.
