Raymond F. Kelleher Jr., 66

Haverhill — -Raymond F. Kelleher Jr., 66, a lifelong resident of Haverhill, died Monday, December 3, 2012 at the Merrimack Valley Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late, Raymond F. Sr., and Catherine A. (Euele) Kelleher. Educated in Haverhill he was a Graduate of St. James Grammar and St. James High School, Class of 1963. He also attended Northern Essex Community College.

For over twenty-seven years, Mr. Kelleher was employed as a Draftsman for the former Western Electric, A.T. & T, Lucent Technologies in North Andover, retiring in 1992. In his spare time, Ray enjoyed fishing, whether it be on local fresh water or deep sea. In his younger years, he was an avid surfer and enjoyed driving his 67 fastback Mustang and his Corvette convertible. A tinkerer at heart, he was forever experimenting; he made wine, marinated mushrooms and worked in his kitchen. He always enjoyed joking around and making everyone laugh. Above all Ray loved his family, friends and cherished the time in their company.

He leaves his beloved wife of forty-two years, Judith A. (Gallant) Kelleher; a brother; Anthony “Tony” Kelleher and his wife, Kathleen, of Atkinson, NH; two brothers in law; Robert T. Gallant and his wife, Patricia, of Wells, ME; Richard A. Gallant and his wife, Modesta, of Long Beach, CA, two sisters in law, Jane M. Welch and her husband Marty; and Mary E. Roy, all of Haverhill; father in law; Albin A. Gallant and his wife, Norma, of Hampton, NH; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, all of whom will miss him dearly. Ray was predeceased by his two sons; Raymond F III and John Patrick.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his Funeral Service on Thursday, December 6, at 10:00 AM in the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St. (Rte 125) Haverhill. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Primrose St. Haverhill. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4 until 8 PM.
