Newton, NH — Roland Nason Clough Sr., 76, died on May 31, 2014, at Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood, N.H.
He was born on July 23, 1937, in Haverhill, Mass., and was the son of the late Arthur C. and Edna (Dow) Clough.
He served in the United States Air Force in the Fire and Rescue Department from 1955 to 1957, and was formerly employed for 30-plus years as a painter for Raytheon Corporation, and 10-plus years as a painter/maintenance worker for the Sanborn Regional School District.
He was predeceased by his wife, Beverly (Gerrish) Clough, who died in 2005. He is survived by seven children, Cheryl Clough of Danville, N.H., Roland Clough, Jr. of Newton, N.H., Doreen and her husband, Frank Gurecki of Ft. Meyers, Fla., Terri and her husband, George Riley of Newton, Mike and his wife, Lynne Clough of Cape Coral, Fla., Shawn and his wife, Nicky Clough of Newton, Sam and his wife, Shannon Clough of Haverhill; 13 grandchildren, Crystal, Joshua, Kara, Alicia, Chanel, George Scott, Emily, Nason, Megan, Ryan, Shane, Shawn, and Kaidyn; five great grandchildren, J.J., Logan, Joey, Colby, and Cole (on the way).
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 5, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter, NH. Funeral services follow, at 12 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Newburyport, Mass.
