Methuen — Josephine “Josie” M. (Maglia) Jennings, 77, of Methuen, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 23, 2014, at Holy Family Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Nunzio Maglia and Maria (Puglisi) Maglia.
Josephine was born, raised and educated in Lawrence, and moved to Methuen in 1982. She was employed by Jackson Lumber for over 25 years, and retired in 2007. Josie was active with the Methuen Senior Center, where she did volunteer work at their thrift store.
She also enjoyed traveling, cooking, reading, gardening, animals, and loved ceramics.
Josephine was the wife of the late Robert Jennings and devoted mother of Richard Jennings of Methuen, David Jennings and his wife, Patty, of Billerica, and Valerie Jennings of Methuen.; cherished grandmother of Christopher Jennings and his wife, Kathleen, of N. Billerica; and dear sister of Salvatore Maglia of Lawrence and the late Thomas, Angelo and Carmelo Maglia and Catherine Lucinskas. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours on Thursday, June 26, from 4 to 8 p.m., at The Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St. Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 27, at 10 a.m., at Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 35 Essex St., Lawrence. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence.
