Barton, VT — Mary A. (Espinola) Duma, 93, of Newport, Vt., and formerly of Methuen, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2014, at Maple Lane Nursing Home in Barton, Vt. She was the wife of the late William Duma.
Born in Lawrence, Mass., on January 12, 1921, Mary was the daughter of Frank and Mary (Cunha) Espinola. She attended Lawrence schools and graduated from Lawrence High School. She worked as an assembler at Western Electric for over 20 years, until her retirement. She had been a member of the Methuen Senior Activity Center, where she helped with its Meals on Wheels program.
Mary will be deeply missed by her two sons, William J. Duma and his wife, Rose Marie, of Newport, Vt., and Joseph Duma and his wife, Cynthia, of Methuen; her four grandchildren, Tara, Eric, Katherine, and Bethany; and her several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends will honor and celebrate Mary’s life by gathering for her funeral service on Thursday, June 26, at 11 a.m., at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen, Mass. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that in Mary’s honor, memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer's Association of Massachusetts, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
