North Andover — Robert K. Koebrick, 85, of North Andover, passed away on Monday January 27, 2014, at home. Mr. Koebrick was born, raised and educated in Methuen, and has lived in N. Andover for the past 48 years.
An exceptional trumpet player, he served in The U.S. Navy during WWII, and was a member of the admiral’s band.
Before retirement, Bob worked as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service in Lawrence. After retirement, he worked with The N. Andover Senior Center and with The Meals on Wheels Program.
The widower of Joan E. (Gentile) Koebrick, his family members include his daughters, Debra L. DiDonato, Donna M. Caldwell, and Diana L. and her husband, Edward Mitchell. He also leaves his brother, Richard Koebrick; and his grandchildren, Victor, Lisa, Amy, Lauren, and Colleen; and his great-grandchildren, Sophia, Victor, Robert, and Madalyn.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, January 31, from 10 to 11 a.m., at The Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m., on Friday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, 163 East Haverhill St., Lawrence, MA. 01841.
