Lawrence — Jeannine M. (Moreau) Martin, 81, of Lawrence, MA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 28, at Holy Family Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Jeannine was born and raised in Notre-Dame-Du-Lac, Canada. She moved to Lawrence, MA, with her husband and six children in 1966. Jeannine worked at Malden Mills from 1966 to 1996. For many years she enjoyed going out to eat every Friday after work and having a “special drink.” She enjoyed attending Mass every Sunday, in addition to watching Mass daily on TV. She also loved baking sugar pies, which her family and friends enjoyed for many years. Her favorite pastime during the warmer months was to sit in her swing.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Adrian Martin; her son, Romain Martin; four sisters and three brothers.
Mrs. Martin is survived by her loving children, Therese Michaud and husband, Jean-Claude, of Atkinson, NH; Agathe Workman and husband, Spencer, of Sarasota, FL; Jacques Martin and wife, Pauline, of Lawrence, MA; Guy Martin of Haverhill, MA; and Gilles Martin of Lawrence, MA. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; as well as her sisters, Huberthe Moreau– Pednault, Denise Moreau–Pednault and Annette Moreau–Ouellette.
Last but not least, the family would like to extend a special thank you to her sister-in-law, Marquerite, for everything she has done for Jeannine and her family. The family would also like to thank Frank Andrew, who has always been a very good friend of the family.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, January 31, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, at St. Lucy’s Church, 254 Merrimack St., Methuen. Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence.
