Salem, NH — Eugene W. “Gene” Comeau, 91, of Salem, New Hampshire, passed away on Tues., January 28, at Parkland Medical Center. Gene was born in New Brunswick and came to the States when he was 10. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Gene retired from Lanes and Games in Cambridge, MA where he was the manager. He was a member of the Derry Salem Elks, a golden member of the NRA and a member of the U.S. Golf Association. He loved NASCAR, the Red Sox, golfing, his family and his dog.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Joanne (Costa) Comeau of Salem; his children, Ann Lemay of Nashua, NH, Jeanne and husband, Ray Terrell, of Milford, MA, Robin and husband, Huck Haroian, of Houston, TX, Andre Comeau and wife, Denise, of Old Bridge, NJ, Corey Comeau of Jamaica Plain, MA and Nicole Comeau and fiancé, Ray Wilburn, of Hudson, NH; his sisters, Louise Casale of Chelmsford, MA, Joan Bryant of Salem, NH and Eleanor Nali of Kingston, MA; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Alma and Walter Comeau and his siblings, Norman Comeau, Lorraine McKenzie and Marie Flynn.
ARRANGEMENTS: Memorial visitation will be held Sunday, Feb. 2, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.
