Samuel G. 'Sammy' Naddif, 65


Andover — Samuel G. “Sammy” Naddif, 65, of Andover, passed away on Sunday February 2, 2014, at Massachusetts General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family and many friends, following a long courageous battle with cancer. Born in Methuen, he was the son of George Naddif of North Andover, and the Late Lillian (Homsey) Naddif. He was raised and educated in Methuen, and was a graduate of Methuen High School. He also served in the U.S, Army Reserves. Sammy enjoyed a lifelong career in the food industry, and operated a seafood wholesale business for years.

Sammy was a loving son, father, brother, and grandfather, who always made family his No. 1 priority. He enjoyed spending lots of time "at the lake" boating, snowmobiling, and especially, spending time with his family and friends. Sammy had a personality larger than life, his presence was like no other. You knew when he was around, his roaring laughter always gave him away. He made life richer and full of fun. There was never a dull moment!

Besides his father, Sammy is survived by his daughters, Samantha Naddif of Andover, and Nicole Hulefeld of Ipswich, Mass.; his brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Sandra Naddif of Andover; his sister, Cheryle Pappalardo of Sarasota, Fla.; two grandchildren; and one niece; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends will be respectfully received at visiting hours on Thursday, February 6, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. His funeral Mass will take place on Friday, February 7, at 10 a.m., at St. Anthony’s Maronite Church 145 Amesbury St., Lawrence. Interment will follow at United Lebanese Cemetery in Lawrence.
