Georgetown, MA — Michael V. Garnache, 66, whom had lived in Georgetown, MA for many years, passed away suddenly on Friday, January 31, 2014. He was born on January 25, 1948, in Biddeford, ME to the late Paul and Mary (White) Garnache. Michael graduated from Haverhill Trade School in 1969, following High School, Michael entered the Army and served proudly during the Vietnam Era.
Michael worked as a machinist for Hillcrest Precision Tool and the Georgetown Country Club, both for many years. In more recent years he spent time on the board of directors for the Georgetown Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and took much pride in his involvement. Michael had an interest in music and played the harmonica for pleasure and in a local band with his brother and friends for several years.
Michael is survived by his mother, Mary (White) Garnache of Groveland, and his daughter, Adeline Garnache of Haverhill. He is also survived by his brother, Greg Garnache and his wife, Catherine, as well as Michael's nephews, Nathan Garnache and Justin Garnache and his wife, Lauren. Michael also had various loving cousins and a newly born great-niece.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his Funeral Service on Saturday, February, 8, at 11 a.m. in the Merton E. Roberts, Jr. and Conte Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant Street, Georgetown. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Harmony Cemetery, Georgetown.
