Lawrence, MA — Margaret B. (McCabe) Jewell, 86, of Lawrence, formerly of Framingham, passed away on Sunday, February 9, at the Nevins Nursing Home in Methuen, after a brief illness. She was born in Lawrence, and was the daughter of the late John B. and Margaret (Stoessel) McCabe. She was a graduate of Lawrence High School. After raising her children, she worked as a head cook at SMOC in Framingham, Mass., for 20 years prior to retiring. In her free time, she enjoyed lottery tickets, playing cards with her friends, dining out, traveling, and going to the beach and Twin River.
She was the loving mother to her son, John Jewell and his wife, Christina, of Natick, a son, Robert Healey and his wife, Diane, of Maine; daughters, Suzanne Burns of Natick, Mariellen West-Brownawell and her husband, Clifford, of National Park, N.J., and Andrea Acosta-Dhmaid of Natick. She also leaves her sister and best friend, Kathleen Foster of Lawrence; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a nephew, Paul Foster and his wife, Tina, and their daughter, Stacey. She was also predeceased by her sons, Steven and Timothy Jewell.
