Andover — Christina M. Duke, a lifelong resident of Andover and beloved mother of Ann E. Duke, died at the Lawrence General Hospital on Thursday, February 20, 2014. She was 87 years old.
Born in Andover on June 10, 1926, she was the beloved daughter of the late Alexander and Margaret (McEwan) Duke. Christina was an avid member of the Ballardvale United Church in Andover. She enjoyed reading and knitting in her spare time.
Besides her beloved daughter, Ann, Christina will be missed by her loving sister, Catherine D. and her husband, Rev. David Hollenbeck of Venice, Fla.; nephews, Greg and his wife, Kathy Baker of Nashville, Tenn., and Alexander Duke of Ipswich; grandniece, Deanna Baker; and several other nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her memorial service will be celebrated in the Ballardvale United Church, 23 Clark Road, Andover, on Saturday, March 1, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Interment will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home of Andover. Donations in Christine's memory may be made to the above named church.
