Haverhill — Marion E. (Winter) Ruby, 96, of Haverhill, died on Friday morning, February 21, at the Sutton Hill Center, North Andover.
She was born in Tewksbury on January 24, 1918, and was the daughter of the late Frederic and Bernice (Huntly) Winter.
Educated in the Wakefield School System, Mrs. Ruby graduated from Wakefield High School.
A devoted wife and mother, Mrs. Ruby enjoyed crocheting and knitting, sweets, flowers, and above everything else, making a home for her husband and children.
She was the wife of the late William H. Ruby, who died in 2002, and was also predeceased by her sisters, Laura Gallugi and Helen Jeffrey.
Her survivors include four sons, William H. and his wife, Cheryl, of Bridgewater, Peter and his wife, Pamela, of Haverhill, Brian D., also of Haverhill, and Shawn and his wife, Judy Naugler of Aura, Colo.; two daughters, Lee Worley of Haverhill, and Elizabeth Bussiere of Marquette, Mich.; a sister, Ruth Hogg of Groveland; 19 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
