Pauline Bouckuyt, 91


Haverhill and Methuen — Pauline (Peterof), 91, of Haverhill, formerly of Methuen, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2014, at the Merrimack Valley Hospital. She was born in Pleasant Valley, where she resided for 89 years. She was the daughter of the late John and Antonia (Novalana) Peterof, and the widow of Andrew J. Bouckuyt, and the mother of the late Andy C. Bouckuyt. She was educated in Methuen, and worked for Raytheon in Andover for 25 years.

Pauline and her late husband, Andy, were well known for their enjoyment of polka dancing. Every weekend, they traveled following their favorite polka bands to many destinations, while wearing matching outfits.

She loved to cook, especially baking, and would always share her talents with her family. Pauline loved to go out to dinner to sample the local areas cuisine. She loved to shop, and enjoyed bingo.

In her later years, while residing at The Hannah Duston, she was known for stunning apparel with matching beads and headbands. She will always be remembered for her easygoing spirit and her love of life!

Pauline is survived by her loving and devoted daughter-in-law, Kim Bouckuyt Atwood and her husband, Bill Atwood of Haverhill Mass.; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Florence Folk, Helen Wheelock and Jane Pelczar.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours on Wednesday, March 5, from 3 to 7 p.m., at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her funeral services will take place on Thurdsay, March 6, at 11 a.m., at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
