Lawrence — Our precious son, Peter (Petie) Moschetto, Jr., 25, of Lawrence, Mass., has gone in peace to rest with Our Lord on November 12, 2013. He gifted us with his life on October 5, 1988, and was raised in Lawrence. He was educated at St. Augustine School, Lawrence and was a 2007 Central Catholic High School Graduate where he passionately played four years in the Central Catholic Championship Basketball program (2004-2007).
He was a proud employee of the Guilmette Elementary School as a paraprofessional for three years and took joy in mentoring all the children he served. The children adored “Mr. M.” and he adored them.
He loved a good card game, a day at the beach, sports, music, a good practical joke, family gatherings, and spending time with his family and friends.
He was a basketball coach for the children of the Guilmette Elementary School and the Merrimack Valley Catholic Basketball League. Every child on Tower Hill who knew Petie loved to be around him. He treated all those he met on the basketball court of life with respect and dignity. He played soccer, baseball, and football. He was a member of the cub scouts. He spent several summers volunteering at Camp Fatima Exceptional Citizens week. Peter was an Altar server and a Lector of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish.
Family and friends were the delight of Petie’s life; they meant the world to him. Peter was a loving and devoted Uncle to Chad, Kaitlyn, Nathaniel and Jazmyn who admired and loved him deeply. Mutually, their time together was treasured and cherished.
Peter was a loving, caring, compassionate person who saw the good in everyone, especially the least among us. His great sense of humor, kindness, constant smile and big heart touched many lives. His presence always lit up the room.
He will leave a deep void in our lives and to all who knew and loved him. He has blessed our lives in many ways with love and happy memories to carry us through with God’s grace.
Peter was predeceased by his grandmother, Carmella Moschetto and his Uncle Robert Patnaude Jr. He is survived by his parents, Peter and Irene Moschetto; his sister, Bre-Anne Rogers and fiancé, Joseph Rivera; his nephews, Chad and Nathaniel and nieces, Kaitlyn and Jazmyn; his grandmother, Margaret Patnaude and grandfather, Robert Patnaude Sr.; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
