Joseph R. Paolino, Jr., 78


Kingston, NH — Joseph R. Paolino, Jr., 78, of Kingston and a former longtime resident of Haverhill, Mass., died on Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at the Colonial Poplin Nursing Home, Fremont, N.H.

Born in Lawrence, Mass., son of the late Joseph R. and Olga (Misserville) Paolino, he attended grammar school in Haverhill, Mass., and graduated from St. James High School with the Class of 1952, where he was a member of the Class Reunion Committee, and also received his bachelor’s degree in accounting through Merrimack College, North Andover, Mass. He served as a Specialist Second Class in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict where he was the recipient of the Good Conduct, National Defense Service and OCC Germany medals.

Mr. Paolino worked as an accountant for the Watts Regulator Company until his retirement in 1999 and previously worked for the Compo, Pandel-Bradford and Henschell Companies. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Haverhill, Mass., and attended First Congregational Church, Kingston. He was a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary and the Sons of Italy – Victor Emmanuel Lodge. He enjoyed model trains, photography and videography.

He is survived by his wife, Rosemarie (Trovato) Paolino; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph R., III and Ann Paolino of London, England; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah J. and Kurt Meier of Kingston; a brother-in-law, Jon Trovato of Morristown, N.J.; two sisters, Eleanor Goldoni of Bradford, Mass., and Josephine Tarlion and her husband, Sarkey, of Danville, Calif.; four grandchildren, Andrew Meier and Nicholas Meier, both of Kingston, and Laura Paolino and James Paolino, both of London, England; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

ARRANGEMENTS: At Mr. Paolino’s request, there will be no services. Donations in his name may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, N.H.
