Haverhill, MA — Jacqueline A. (Grassi) Festo, 91, a lifelong resident of Haverhill, died peacefully on Monday, June 17, at the Hannah Duston Healthcare Center, after a brief illness. The daughter of the late Liberato and Lucia (Berardini) Grassi, she was born on March 29, 1922, and was educated in the Haverhill School System. A member of the Haverhill High School Class of 1941, she attended the Fasio Beauty School and was a beautician in the Haverhill area for over 40 years. Her most recent employment was with her dear friend, Mary Pauline Wyka at Andrea’s Beauty Salon in Plaistow.
Family was of utmost importance to Jackie. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and doing word search puzzles. She was a member of All Saints Parish of Haverhill. She will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Louis D. Festo; two daughters and son-in-law, Elizabeth A. and Daniel Brosnan of Haverhill, and Bernardine A. Gearty of Brentwood, N.H.; grand-daughter, Jacqueline A. Brosnan of Baltimore,Md. and her fiancé, Christopher R. Cashman; three sisters, Louise V. Emery and Natalie D. Grassi, of Haverhill, and Edith Grassi of Melrose; and 15 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Eleanor M. Grass, and Laura R. Grassi; her brothers, Dr. Michael A. Grassi and Dr. James E. Grassi; her son-in-law, Kevin S. Gearty; and her nephew, Michael G. Grassi.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, June 20, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. Her funeral will be held on Friday at 9 a.m., from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., in All Saints Church, Haverhill. Burial will follow in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery.
