Lawrence — Anna Marie C. (O’Carroll) Cain, 99, a longtime resident of Lawrence, Mass., died Sunday, June 16, at the Mary Immaculate Health Care Center in Lawrence, Mass.
She was born to Nicholas and Mary (O’Neil) O’Carroll on January 25, 1914. Educated in South Lawrence, she was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Lawrence. She worked as an telephone operator for Verizon for 27 years until her retirement. Mrs. Cain enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She volunteered her time for various chartiable organizations. She belonged to St. Clare League for Women and Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 8.
She was the wife of 63 years to the late Frank A. Cain. She leaves her nephews, Richard D. Cain and his wife, Patricia of North Andover, and Daniel J. Cain and his wife, Donna of Salem, N.H., and Daniel N. O’Carroll and his wife, Carla of Methuen, William D. O’Carroll and his wife, Kelly of Dover, N.H.
ARRANGEMENTS: A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 20, at 9 a.m., in St. Patrick Church, Lawrence, Mass. A burial will follow in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in North Andover, Mass.
