SALEM, N.H. — Samantha Ray Klinefelter, 24, of Salem, N.H., passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 29, 2011.
She was born in Melrose, grew up and was educated in Salem, N.H., where she graduated from Salem High School in 2005.
She had a love for dance, and cheerleading, beginning with Pop Warner through high school varsity, as well as traveling across the U.S. with her All-star team. With an interest in helping others, she later attended the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston with hopes to pursue a career in nursing. Sam will be remembered for her unique personality and genuine smile. Her beauty radiated from within her laughter, and passion for life. Although Sam will be sadly missed, she will be reunited with her sister once again. Together, they will shine down upon us as our true "Rays" of sunshine.
Samantha worked at NOTB in Salem, N.H., and was a cheerleading coach at East Celebrity Elite.
She was predeceased by her sister, Cassandra R. Ray; and her paternal grandfather, Peter S. Smith. She is survived by her husband, Nickolas Klinefelter, presently stationed in Afghanistan; parents, Robin Smith and Jim Michaud of Salem, N.H.; brother, Nicholas Michaud of Los Angeles; sister, Jaclyn Michaud of Manchester, N.H.; maternal grandmother, Dianne Smith of Salem, N.H.; paternal grandparents, Warren and Jean Ray of Laconia, N.H.; her dog, Bean.
Sam had an extraordinary love for her close friends, which bonded them like family.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be held Thursday, May 5, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, N.H.
