Formerly of Haverhill, MA — Richard Lyman Colby, 67, of Albion, Maine, and formerly of Haverhill, died unexpectedly on Friday, April 12, 2013, at his home.
He was born in Haverhill, December 16, 1945, son of the late Albert and Martha (Ennis) Colby and was educated in the Haverhill school system.
Richard was employed for more than 40 years as an iron worker for Novel Iron Works, Greenland, N.H., retiring last November.
He was married to the late Donna M. (LaFontaine) Colby for 31 years. His survivors include a son and his wife, Gary R. Colby and Kim A., of Haverhill, a daughter and her husband, Kelly A. and Shawn E. Richard, of Albion, Maine, a brother, David Colby, two sisters, Marcia Fiasconaro and Nancy McKay, five grandchildren, Kayla and Cameron Colby, Madison, Stephanie and Jacob Richard, and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Albert "Butch" Colby.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his Funeral Service on Wednesday evening, April 17, at 7:15 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Calling hours will precede the Funeral Service on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
