Lillian G. Bergstrom, 89


Boxford — Lillian G. (Haynes) Bergstrom, 89, died Monday at Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, after being cared for at her home until only her last few hours.

Lil was born in Lynn, Mass., on December 28, 1923, to the late Warren and Claribel (Sargent) Haynes.

For more than 20 years, Lil enjoyed sharing her life as a school bus driver with the kids of the Boxford Public Schools.

Lil's greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She was a lover of old time country music, birds and her pets.

The widow of Frederick "Freddie" Bergstrom, Lil is survived by her daughters, Linda Skibicki of West Boxford and Jackie Cunningham and her husband, Tom, of Atkinson, N.H. She is also survived by her sons, Richard Bergstrom of LaVale, Md., and Roy Bergstrom and his wife, Angela, of Westerly, R.I. Also among her survivors are five grandchildren, David Skibicki, Christine Laurenzo, Richard Bergstrom, Isabel Grocut and Sarah Bergstrom, as well as several great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren.

Lil will be sincerely missed by her family and friends.

ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Second Congregational Church in West Boxford. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery also in West Boxford. Family and friends may call on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church, prior to the service.
