Haverhill — Assine (Ghanem) Dahne, 80, of Haverhill passed away on Friday at the Massachusetts General Hospital with her family at her side. She was born in Sidon, Lebanon, and was the daughter of the late Beshara and Adele (Shaheen) Ghanem.
Mrs. Dahne was raised and educated in Lebanon and came to Lawrence in 1976. She was a caring wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed being with her family. She was a member of the Lawrence Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Mrs. Dahne was predeceased by her beloved husband, Kamel E. Dahne, and is survived by her sons, Maurice and his wife, Edma of Seattle, Wash., Antoine and his wife, Marie of Salem, N.H., Kamil and his wife, Gabrielle of Haverhill, Victor and his wife, Karen of Methuen, Pierre and his wife, Inga of Boxford, Paul and his wife, Robyn of Brunswick, Ga., and Beshara and his wife, Tasha of Boxford; her daughters, Rose Bahouth of Andover and Leila Schmidt and her husband, Ralph of Chicago; her sisters, Leila Giovaneti of Tennessee, Marie Mezher of North Andover, and Amal Bilal of California; and her brothers, Rashed Ghanem of Lebanon and Kenny Ghanem of Tyngsboro. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend memorial visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2013, at the Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 130 Jackson St., Methuen. Burial will be private in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill.
