Lowell, MA — Amauri Guzman, 41, died on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at Mass General Hospital from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Amauri was born in Yaguate, Dominican Republic, and was the son of the late Leoncio Guzman and Sonia (Tejeda). He lived in Bani until moving to Lowell. He was in the automotive wholesale business, and recently establish Marissa Auto Sales in Lawrence. Amauri enjoyed riding motorcycles, traveling to the Dominican Republic with his family, and spending time with his family and friends. His family recalls his great sense of humor, and as being someone who everyone enjoyed being around.
He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Donna (Gagne) Guzman of Lowell, and their children, Angelica, Melinda, Marissa Guzman-Gagne, and D. Stephen Gonzalez-Gagne; one son, Christian Guzman of Nashua; and another daughter, Dimary Guzman, and her son, of Santiago, DR. Among his many surviving siblings are Lucia Guzman and Cutel Polanco. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: A Funeral Mass be held Wednesday, August 7, at St. Michael's Church, 6th St., Lowell, at a time to be announced. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. Friends may call Monday, August 5, and Tuesday, August 6, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Farrah Funeral Home, 133 Lawrence St., Lawrence, Mass.
