North Andover — Donald (Don) J. St. Jean, 81, of North Andover, Mass., passed away peacefully on August 12, 2013, surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Methuen, Mass., on March 16, 1932, and graduated from Lawrence High School. He served honorably in the United States Air Force and following that, enjoyed a successful career with Raytheon Company until retirement. Don was always quick with a smile and an encouraging word. He enjoyed listening to jazz and swing music, taking trips to the seashore, tending to his home, and especially, spending time with the love of his life, Joan St. Jean, to whom he was married for 56 years. He is survived by his wife, Joan; his brother, John Herve St. Jean of Deland, Fla.; his sister-in-law, Rita Connelly of Lawrence, Mass.; his sister-in-law, Sharon St. Jean of Fremont, N.H.; his nephew, Timothy Donald St. Jean of Lakeland, N.J.; his niece, Christianne Karjala of Chester, N.H.; his nephew, Jason St. Jean of Chester, N.H.; and all the rest of his family and friends whom he cherished dearly. He was preceded in death by his brother, Chanel St. Jean.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Friday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third St., North Andover. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
