Salem, N.H. — Ronald W. St. Amand “Papa”, of Hampstead, N.H., formerly of Salem, N.H. passed away peacefully on November 17, 2012 at the age of 77. He was born in Lawrence, to the late Theodore and Aldea (Larocque) St. Amand.
Ronald worked as a floor mechanic for 25 years prior to becoming a firefighter for the Salem, N.H. Fire Department for 20 years, where he retired in 1996. He was a member of the Contractors Association of Salem, a member of the Derry-Salem Elks Lodge, and the Salem Senior Center.
He leaves his beloved wife of 57 years, Linda R. (DeLotto) St. Amand of Hampstead, two sons, Ronald L. and his wife, Dodie St. Amand of Salem, Brian D. and his wife, Cynthia St.Amand of Sandown; two cherished granddaughters, Alyssa St. Amand and her partner Kendrick Dunn, and Alicia Ventrillo; great-granddaughter, Emma Rose Dunn; two brothers, Richard and his wife, Jane St. Amand of Ballardvale, and Dennis and his wife, Janice St. Amand of Raymond, N.H.; sister-in-law, Christine Teague and her husband, Peter of S.C.; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be held Friday, November 23 from 4-7 p.m. at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem. A memorial service will be Saturday, November 24 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Urn burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence.
