Methuen — Louise A. (LaSpina) D’Agata, 90, of Methuen passed away Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Lawrence General Hospital. Louise was born in Lawrence was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Grazia (Console) LaSpina and the widow of Ralph S. D’Agata who died in 1973. Louise was educated in Lawrence Schools and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1938.
Louise worked alongside her husband for 25 years at the family business Blue Bonnet Bakery Restaurant on Essex St., Lawrence. She also was very active at her church Riverside Assembly of God Church in Methuen, where she was involved as a Sunday school administrator, she was always cooking in the kitchen for many activities and was known as the “Candy Lady” at the church by all the children. Louise was known for her cooking skills and would always have something cooking whenever anyone would stop by to visit.
Louise is survived by her daughters, Jill Jamgochian and her husband, David of Haverhill, Gracemarie McCann and her husband, Jay of Methuen; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two sisters-in-law, Stella Patterson of N.C. and Millie D’Agata of North Andover. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and was predeceased by her son Alfred D’Agata.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends will be received at calling hours on Thursday, November 29 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen; her funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Bellevue Cemetery Lawrence.
