Anna M. Wlodyka, 71

Methuen — Anna M. (D’Anna) Wlodyka, 71, of Methuen passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 19, 2013. She was born in Civitavecchia, Italy, and was the daughter of the late Alfredo and Victoria (Bruschi) D’Anna and the widow of John J. Wlodyka, Jr.

Anna was a loving and devoted mother and “Nonni” to her grandchildren. They were the center of her world and she took great pride in watching them grow. She was very artistically talented and enjoyed crafting, knitting, and quilting. Another favorite pastime was taking long walks on the beach while combing for treasures. Anna also enjoyed traveling, including occasional trips to Foxwoods, and always had a purring cat by her side. She was loved deeply by all who knew her and will be greatly missed by her daughters, grandchildren, and many family and friends.

Anna is survived by her loving daughters, Susan M. MacGregor of Haverhill, and Michelle Kurchian and her husband, Joel of North Reading. She also leaves her three adoring grandchildren, Brianna and Connor MacGregor of Haverhill and Macy Kurchian of North Reading; her sister, Mirella DiLazzaro of Italy; and in-laws, Bob and Barbara Wlodyka of Saugus, and Carol Brennan of Wells, Maine; as well as several nieces and nephews. Anna was predeceased by her sister, Nella Cinti.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours on Sunday, December 22, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her Mass of Christian burial will take place on Monday, December 23, at 11 a.m. in St. Lucy’s Church, 254 Merrimack St., Methuen. Interment will follow at Polish National Catholic Cemetery, Methuen.
