Scott W. Collin


Georgetown — Mr. Scott W. Collin, age 45, of Georgetown, died Monday, December 30, 2013, in Pittsburgh, Pa., after a very courageous battle against scleroderma. He was the beloved husband of Lisa M. (Bartlett) Collin, with whom he shared 16 years of marriage. Together, they shared 26 years.

Born in Lynn, Scott was the son of Richard and Kathleen (Porter) Collin of Georgetown. He was a graduate of Bishop Fenwick High School Class of 1986 and was a resident of Georgetown for most of his life.

Scott worked for the Georgetown Water Dept. He was a meter reader and also ran the well, treatment plant and helped with Customer Service. He enjoyed helping people and previously worked for Michael’s Motors and AAA.

Scott and Lisa enjoyed their Harley Davidson motorcycles and the many rides they shared together. When he had to stop riding, he enjoyed driving his wife’s Mazda convertible, “Lou.” He also enjoyed antique cars, loved Disney World, the beach and walking on the sand with his dogs. He loved to play hockey and cheer for the Bruins. He also enjoyed the Lead-East 50’s Party in New Jersey. Scott will be remembered as a kind man, always the first to stop and lend a hand. It was never an effort for Scott to reach out and help people. He enjoyed Sunday morning breakfasts with his Dad since he was 15 years old. e was a true friend who put everyone else ahead of himself.

In addition to his wife and parents, he leaves his brother, Mark Collin and his companion, Virginia Howard of Saugus, and his brother-in-law, Lee Bartlett of Friendship, Maine. He was the Uncle of Cole and Parker Bartlett of Jeffersonville, Vt., Mark Travers of Wilmington, Danielle and Alyssa Varieur of Charlestown, N.H., and Sarah Binns of Haverhill. He is also survived by his many friends, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was the brother of the late Richard “Rick” Collin.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend Scott’s Funeral from the Merton E. Roberts, Jr. and Conte Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant. St., Georgetown on Monday at 10 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Georgetown at 11 a.m. Calling Hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 7 p.m. Interment will follow in the Harmony Cemetery, Georgetown.
