Georgetown — Lost his battle with cancer, and was taken from this earth far too early, but no longer suffering in pain.
He truly believed in God’s plan for him and would want everyone to know he was ok and ready to be free.
Survived by his parents, Ruth and David Stewart and his brother, Mark Stewart; brother, Daniel Stewart and his sister, Cindy Stewart Kennedy; along with 7 nephews (Sean, Brendan, David, Ryan, Jack, Patrick and Mark) and his 5 nieces (Colleen, Sarah, Victoria, Madison and Samantha).
Doug graduated from Whittier Tech in 1979 and began his free spirited life in California. Then onto Florida where he proudly served in the Air Force from 1981- 1985 active duty then the Florida Air National Guard, 1986-2000. He was a loyal, kind and hardworking airman and he loved the outdoors.
ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial service and celebration of Doug’s life will be held in Georgetown in early summer when the family can all gather together.
In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to a charity of your choice in Doug’s honor. He loved animals and the outdoors, especially his vacation days in Key West fishing.
