Newton, NH — Alice E. (Lamb) Baker, 88, of Newton, N.H., died on March 7, 2014, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Rumford, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Dwight and Gertrude (Perrin) Lamb. Following her graduation from high school, she worked as an inspector for Western Electric for many years before her retirement.
Mrs. Baker was a member of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish at Mary Mother of the Church, Newton.
She was predeceased by her husband, George D. Baker Jr., and is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bruce L. and Sheryl Baker of Chester, N.H.; a daughter, Catherine B. Lovett of Newton; a brother and sister-in-law, George and Earlene Lamb of Wilton, Maine; a sister, Georgia Hersey of Livermore, Maine; three grandchildren, Mark Baker, Donald “DJ” Lovett Jr. and Shane Lovett; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Dwight Lamb Jr.; her sister, Clara Landry; and a grandson, Daniel Baker.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass on Saturday, March 22, at 10 a.m., at Mary Mother of the Church, 12 Amesbury Road, Newton. A private burial will take place at a later date.
