Methuen, MA — Donald "Sonny" Perry, 79, of Methuen, passed away Saturday, April 27, at the Lawrence General Hospital surrounded by his loving family and Reverend Floyd.
Born in Lawrence, Donald was the son of the late Gladys (Allston) and Donald Perry.
Donald was raised and educated in Lawrence and served in the U.S. Army. He worked for The Gillette Company of Andover for many years and leaves many good friends and memories.
Donald is survived by his sister, Sandra Nutter and her husband, Edward; brother, Larry; daughters, Donna, Billy Jean, and Sonya, all of Georgia; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and longtime friend, Gloria.
Donald was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan, and if not at a game he would always have a TV or radio at his side. He also enjoyed playing cards. He will be deeply missed by many near and far whom he touched, especially B&M. He had a heart of gold and a smile bigger than life.
ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial will be held to honor Donald at 7 p.m. on Friday May 2, 2013, at the Third Baptist Church, 22 Warren Street, Lawrence, MA. Funeral services will be private.
