Pelham, NH — Lynne K. Whipple, 48, of Pelham, N.H., died Wednesday, May 1, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Beverly, Mass., August 27, 1964, the daughter of Raymond A. and Donna L. (Sennott) Whipple of South Hamilton, Mass., she was a graduate of Hamilton-Wenham High School, Class of 1982. She went on to graduate from Salem State College where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, in geography.
Lynne was a member of the First Congregational Church in Pelham for many years.
She was employed as a paraprofessional with the Pelham Elementary School System.
Among her many interests, Lynne coached baseball for kids with disabilities in Pelham. Active in her own children’s sporting events, she was affectionately known as, "The Track Mom."
In addition to her mother and father, Lynne is survived by a daughter, Emily K. Mallard, a senior at Pelham High School; two sons, Ben R. Mallard of Providence, R.I., and Timothy S. Mallard of Pelham, N.H.; two brothers, John M. Whipple and his wife, Carrie, of Kingston, N.H., and Todd S. Whipple and his wife, Ashley, of Bozeman, Mont.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
ARRANGEMENTS: Friends may call at the Pelham Funeral Home, 11 Nashua Road, Pelham, NH, from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday. Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday morning at the First Congregational Church in Pelham at 10 a.m. Please meet at the church. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of her family.
